Subject: This crazy place called the world we live in

Hey people,

So I figured it was time for another update from me, but before I do, I just
wanted to say that right now I am sitting here not quite sure how I am
feeling based on the recent events in the USA. The USA is quite far from
little old me here in London, but yesterday was scary. My beautiful mother
called me to make sure I was safe and I laughed to myself thinking, yes I am
ok, I am in the UK not the US. 30 mins later, my building was evacuated. I
was so choked up last night to see innocent people hanging out of buildings,
jumping out of windows and really thought hard about how lucky we all are.

I guess my point is, I love and miss each of you a lot in my own little way.
Please stop and think about how precious life is and live it the best way
you can. I am sorry for going all deep and meaningful, it just hit home
with me that's all.

So, that aside.........HOW THE HELL IS EVERYONE?

I'm super, thanks for asking. It is Wednesday and this Saturday is
Katharine's birthday party so that should provide an interesting evening
indeed.

The weekend just passed, I went to Belgium. Booked Thursday, took Friday
off work and was on the Eurostar at 8.30am Friday morning. Louise,
Katharine and Uncle Ross went too and although Ross was a right pain,
Belgium was beautiful. Stayed in a 5* hotel where they pronounced Biddle as
Piddle (quite amusing) and everyone speaks French. I LOVE THAT LANGUAGE!!!!

The weekend we were there incidently was the same weekend as they had a beer
festival on. Yep....Siobhan and Blair you would be proud, I often felt like
saying "Marge, beer me" as the belgian beers are lavish. Some 12.5% alcohol
and get this Shiv, I even acquired a taste for Stella. The food there is to
die for, although Ross was a little more game than me,....he ate Frog's
legs. Louise had a sample and apparently they were quite good! I chose to
stick with the mussels!

There seemed to be an abundance of American men travelling through Brussels
as Louise and Katharine met 2 guys who came out with us on the Friday night.
Oh my god too funny. One of them was like a 49y.o. father of two on some
bottled water convention. At the beginning of the evening he was totally
respectable . By 11.30pm all he could say was "I LOVE BREASTS!" You can
imagine Louise, Katharine and I - all wearing low cut BAD GIRL tops gave him
a right run for his money..... The other guy wet himself.....literately and
when wearing cream pants, this is a little tricky to hide.

I then met two on a coach tour I took (to see the city of Brussles) and
they came out with us Saturday night. Matt, their accent......you all over.
Only thing is the one who laughed like you was gay !!! :)

The chocolate is as good as everyone makes it out to be, if not better but
the best part of the short holiday was definitely seeing Reza again. For
all you Rossmoyne High School people on the email list, Reza is exactly the
same as he was, still a cutie pie with just more toys hiding in his back
pack including the smallest laptop computer I have ever seen which takes
photos. Apparently he is permanently "borrowing" it from Sony. He has a FAB
job with Sony where he plays with robot dogs all day.....he hehe and also
speaks fluent French and Dutch. I was most impressed. Reza, however was
shocked I think to see me again, he just kept saying you were never like
"this" in school Kristy.....I have yet to define "this" but I am sure he
means it in a nice way. Reza and his cousin took us to a club in Brussels
called "who's who land" the place ROCKED! The bar staff were well funky
and I was lovin' it! Got in at 7.00am and was shattered all day Sunday.

Brussels is a beautiful little city and another one I can say - yep, been
there!

Until the next time,
Ciao Ciao

Kristy

p.s. Pratty, happy birthday for the 14th!
